Frequently Asked Questions - FAQ

About Lone Peak Packs

Q: Where are Lone Peak Packs made?
A: Every Lone Peak product is proudly made in the USA. Our gear is sewn with precision in facilities across the US. Our main workshop today is in Seattle, Washington, continuing the legacy that began in Salt Lake City, Utah, in 1979.

Q: How long has Lone Peak been in business?
A: Lone Peak was founded in 1979 by ski patroller Tom Kullen. For over four decades, we’ve been building tough, functional gear for people who work and play outdoors.

Q: What makes Lone Peak different from other brands like Coaxsher, Conterra or Ten4Tec?
A: We focus on durability, function, and American craftsmanship. Every seam, zipper, and strap is designed to perform in the harshest conditions—because our customers depend on it every day.

Radio Chest Harness

Q: What is a radio chest harness?
A: A radio chest pack is a hands-free harness that keeps your radio, phone, and tools secure and accessible on your chest—ideal for professionals who communicate on the job.

Q: Who uses a Lone Peak radio chest harness?
A: Our packs are trusted by construction crews, surveyors, ski patrol, wildland firefighters, linemen, and anyone who needs reliable communication gear on the move.

Q: Are Lone Peak radio chest harnesses compatible with all radios?
A: Yes, our adjustable designs fit most handheld radios from Motorola, Kenwood, Icom, and other popular brands. Each harness includes adjustable straps and a flexible radio pocket.

Q: Can I wear a Lone Peak radio chest harness with a backpack or safety harness?
A: Absolutely. Our low-profile design allows you to comfortably wear it under or over safety vests, backpacks, or work harnesses.

Bike Bags & Panniers

Q: Do you still make bike bags?
A:
Yes. We still do limited drops/release runs of our American Made classic bike bags from time to time. Available inventory is listed on the site, and we send out emails periodically when we release new production runs. Be sure to sign up for our email list to be notified when drops are available.

Q: Do your panniers fit e-bikes?
A: Yes. Lone Peak panniers are designed to fit a wide range of racks, including e-bike models. They feature reinforced clips and weather-resistant materials for all-season commuting.

Q: Are your bags waterproof?
A: While not "waterproof" our bags are made with highly water-resistant materials and weather-sealed closures to keep your gear dry in rain and snow.

Q: Can I buy replacement parts or straps?
A: Yes, we offer replacement buckles, straps, and mounting hardware. Most replaceable parts are available on the site.

Materials & Quality

Q: What materials are used in your packs?
A: We use military-grade Cordura nylon, YKK zippers, and reinforced stitching throughout. Every product is built to last and field-tested for real-world performance.

Q: Do you offer a warranty?
A: Yes. We stand behind our craftsmanship with a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects. If your pack fails under normal use, we’ll repair or replace it.

Q: How do I clean my pack?
A: Hand wash with mild soap and water, then air dry. Avoid machine washing or using harsh detergents.
